If you are not actively selling a product or service yet, then you can't get a full trademark. It's very unlikely that someone would copy your logo exactly and use it in the same industry. I've worked in the agency world for much of the last 20 years and we had these huge encyclopedia-sized books of logos from the past century. Not to mention, most logos are not truly unique. Your logo has trademark and copyright protection without filing anything, it's just limited protection without filing with the USPTO. Spend that money on advertising when you launch.
